SPECIAL SELECTBOARD MEETING
Swanton Town Offices

Friday, April 26, 2024 – 10:00 am
Present: Joel Clark-Chair, Steve Bourgeois, Nicole Draper, Cody Hemenway-Members, Brian Savage-Town Administrator
- Call to Order
Mr. Clark called the meeting to order at 9:58 am.
- Agenda Review
Mr. Clark reviewed the agenda. Mr. Hemenway requested to add a Police Update.
- Public Comment
None
- Executive Session (Personal)
Ms. Draper made a motion to enter executive session at 10:00 am, seconded by Mr. Hemenway. Motion carried.
Ms. Draper made a motion to exit the executive session at 10:27 am, seconded by Mr. Hemenway. Motion carried.
Mr. Hemenway made a motion to pay Tanya Dufresne $6,460.82 for earned vacation and sick leave, seconded by Ms. Draper. Motion carried.
- Set hourly wage minimum and maximum for Asst. Town Clerk & Asst. Town Treasurer
Mr. Hemenway made a motion that the salary range for Assistant Town Clerk/Assistant Treasurer be $23-$28 per hour starting wage, seconded by Mr. Bourgeois. Motion carried.
- Any other necessary business
Mr. Bourgeois made a motion for Mr. Savage to sign VSA Permit to the State of Vermont, seconded by Mr. Hemenway. Motion carried.
Mr. Hemenway updated the new scheduled additional 2-hours of coverage of Swanton Village Police is going well and they are documenting coverage better.

Ms. Draper made a motion to adjourn at 10:44am, seconded by Mr. Hemenway. Motion carried.

MOTIONS FOR ENTERING EXECUTIVE SESSION
MOTION #1: I move that we find that we enter executive session for the Selectboard to receive
confidential contract & personnel information for which the premature disclosure of it to the
general public would clearly place the Selectboard & others at a substantial disadvantage. Roll
Call Vote on Motion.
MOTION #2: I move that based on our just made findings that premature disclosure would
place the Selectboard & others at a substantial disadvantage, we enter executive session. Roll
Call Vote on Motion.
