ON-SITE VISIT
AT 70 HAZARD ROAD

At its meeting of July 21, 2026, the Selectboard of the Town of Swanton voted to initiate the reclassification from a Class 4 Town Highway to a Trail of that portion of the Hazard Road from the western boundary line of the property now or formerly owned by Gregory Coon Life Estate (70 Hazard Road) and proceeding westerly to the intersection of the Highgate Road (VT Route 207) pursuant to 19 V.S.A. §708. The resulting action will end vehicular traffic on the road other than adjacent landowners accessing their property.
Therefore, pursuant to 19 V.S.A. §709 the Selectboard will be doing a site visit for examining the premises and hearing the persons interest, and receiving testimony. This site visit will be held on the Hazard Road in proximity to the Coon property located at 70 Hazard Road.
